The Closet Works Inc. proudly serves The Philadelphia 5 Counties, South and Central New Jersey. We had an opportunity to sit down with Digital Marketing Manager, Sal Graci, and talk about why they joined the ACSP and what they’re doing to face down challenges in the busiest market they’ve ever experienced. Read on for their story and solutions to problems facing the industry today.

1.            Why did you join ACSP?

To network with other individuals and companies who share a passion and enthusiasm for the closet and storage industry. Also, to stay current with latest designs and trends in the industry and adjacent industries.

2.            What’s been the biggest benefit you’ve experienced?

Keeping up with designs and trends within the industry.

3.            How many designers work at The Closet Works?

We currently have 10 Designers who work at The Closet Works with an average of 17 years of tenure with the company.

4.            How many installers?

We currently have 7 Installers who are employed by The Closet Works. We do not outsource to a third party. Our installers know our products inside and out which allows for a professional, precise, efficient and quality installation.

5.            What’s been your biggest challenge this year?

The biggest challenge has been to keep up with the demand for our services. With more people staying at home during the pandemic, there is now more than ever a need for additional storage and organization in various place throughout the home. We are finding that people want to maximize the space they have and create organized spaces that better suit their storage needs.

6.            How are you finding/managing labor?

We are very fortunate to have a great team of dedicated employees who have been with us for many years, some for over 25 years of the 30 we have been in business. It has been a challenge in the current environment to identify and engage new colleagues, especially in as much as we have extremely high standards. However, we have managed to bring in some wonderful new associates who are doing a great job. We could still use people though in almost every area.

7.            Material shortages?

We continue to navigate the everchanging conditions and supply chain disruptions causing material shortages. As market conditions change, the biggest impact has been on material cost, specifically on wood products and anything produced overseas.

8.            What is your top selling color?

For as long as we have been installing products, standard White has been the best seller. Certainly, it is the most reasonable price-point but it’s also very trendy for interior design, flexible and always fresh.

9.            Best install story (happiest customer)

We have numerous success stories on our website. They can all be found at https://www.closetworksinc.com/featured-customer-stories/. If we had to pick a favorite one it would probably be Organization For The Whole Family. Not only were we able to help an entire family with getting organized in multiple spaces, the new systems make it much more accessible and attainable for the family to lay the groundwork for good organization habits for years to come. As a result, the spaces will stay organized. You know the saying, “a place for everything and everything in its place”. The customers were thrilled and so were we with the amazing results.

10.          Why do you do what you do? (motivation)


What motivates us is hearing from a client about how we provided a positive life changing experience. Yes, we certainly create aesthetically pleasing and beautiful spaces but there is more to it than that. We create functional and efficient places that save time, keep items from getting lost, damaged or misplaced, reduce clutter, and keep your life organized. We love that our customers love what we do.
